Foam Vibration Analysis

 In the Fall of 2023, I was enrolled in a System Dynamics class where two other students and I analyzed the damping effects of two different types of foam for a class project. This project involved characterizing the mechanical properties of each foam, and performing a shaker-table experiment in order to identify their resonants modes. It was found after the experiment that the modes in question were slightly under the range of frequencies tested by the shaker table, but useful information was still able to be gathered from the data.
